rich's uninteresting

went to vegas last weekend with the boys: dr jon, chris oz, and paulie. we stayed at the Palms for a gotta-love-the-recession price of $85/night. i’d never stayed there before – though it’s off the strip, it definitely feels like the place to be. though unrelated to our trip, Rob had just moved from NYC to vegas a week before. he’s gonna be sous chef at First, a new restaurant in the new Venetian casino Palazzo.

the highlight was dinner at Nove Italiano, the upscale italian restaurant in the Palms. Rob’s got industry pull, so we got a prime table, a bunch of special dishes, and the head chef came out to meet us, too.

during the day, we toured around with Frank’s realtors looking for investment properties. this condo sold for over $600k in ’07, now bank owned and offered at $180k:

…is going to be swimming. i’m horrible at it. i can’t do more than 1 lap at a time without stopping to rest. by the time i’m at about 8 laps, my heart feels like it’s gonna bust out of my chest. my kick is weak. i’m practicing my kick by using the little paddle board and it feels like i’m hardly moving.

anyways, i’m trying to make a routine of going.

the pirate bay, one of the largest torrent tracker sites, is on trial. it should be interesting, because they’ve always openly mocked and challenged Hollywood to try & stop them. here’s their homepage today:
