and off we go
with my spiffy new ‘do!

in past years, i’ve put like zero effort into my playa bike. but really, it’s super important. especially when you’re out all night long, and far, far away from your camp. so this year, i’ve tricked out my bike with all kinds of goodies:

so for the past month or so, i’ve been mostly fishaterian (no meat or chicken). it’s goin alright, though. i hardly ever crave meat (or have any cravings, for that matter). i’d just eat it out of habit and mostly convenience.
amo’s been veggie since she got back from vipassna a few months back, so now’s as good a time as any to give it a try. it’s good for my body and good for the environment - so why not. it’s really not that hard, once you get into the routine.
i’ve given in a few times, like at a potluck when there was a yummy lamb stew, or at a dinner with yummy bbq ribs. and i’d never insist that anyone go out of their way to serve me a veggie meal. i’d say i’m a ‘convenient fishaterian.’ except at burning man, of course.
come to think of it, “except at burning man” applies to everything that i don’t normally do.
