on craigslist, if it sounds too good to be true, it’s usually a scammer. usually. sometimes it’s an incredible deal. take tonight. crazy sounding dude says he has a macbook air for sale. plus the superdrive and 3 year applecare upgrade. that’s worth over $2300…and he only wants $1500 (that’s way more than my employee discount). and no, he wasn’t in yugoslavia asking me to wire the money via western union. he was in oakland, and asking to meet at the burger king near ikea in emeryville. he said “you better really want it” and i said “you better really have it.”
long story short, we meet and he says it was from his ex-fiance, before he found out she was cheating on him. i take off the wrapping, look inside, and sure enough it’s the real deal. sold.
and now we have our 4th mac in the house. [martha likes hers, too]

on Saturday we had our ‘mid-term exam’ for the Latin Dance Class we’re talking at CCSF. i was really nervous that we’d have to dance solo in front of everyone, but thankfully they did it 6-7 couples at a time so it wasn’t that bad. I did cha-cha and merengue. Amo did merengue (with me) and here she is leading in salsa:

so, some folks have commented that i post too much about technology stuff (you know who you are). about 2 years ago i created a separate blog just for nerd/tech postings, but didn’t really keep up with it…so i gave up and just posted everything here - personal stuff, tech stuff, everything. well, it’s back. and i have a feeling this time it’s for real.
