today’s my last day at ETRADE. i’m just waiting for my exit interview, then i’m outta here. as excited as i am to start at Apple, for some reason i’ve dreaded the whole experience of leaving here. it’s one thing to leave a company after being around for a few years, it’s another to leave after just 3 months (something i’ve never had to do before). i don’t like to let people down, and it feels like i’m giving them the big f-u by leaving in the middle of a big project. i feel like i have to explain to everyone that i really had the Apple offer before joining ET, and it unexpectedly came back - and that i wasn’t actively looking to leave.

but when all is said and done, i have no qualms at all my decision and this will all quickly be in the past - a roadbump in my work experience.

looking forward to having this coming week off!

apparently, if we dig straight down from our home in SF, we’d end up in the middle of the Indian Ocean!

* Dems win the Senate majority.

* Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld resigns!

the only downsides i saw were 2 CA bills that didn’t make it. prop 86 (tax on cigarettes) and 87 (tax on oil production) both failed.
