christmas with the Lee’s

personal things | Friday, December 30th, 2005

i was out in SF last weekend to spend christmas with Amo’s family;

the roundtrip airfare was free from Song airlines, after cashing in my Delta Skymiles. after about 15 years with an Amex Delta Skymiles card, i had *just* enough miles for this trip. i cashed in the miles and promptly cancelled the card. =)

got into SFO on Thurs night, and Hertz upgraded my compact car reservation and gave me a convertible Ford Mustang! the new retro-looking model. too bad it was a puke green color.

went straight to Dr Jon’s, who was out of town, but nice enough to let me stay. it was nice to clean up and rest in a huge SOMA loft.

next morning i had breakfast at the BrainWash (breakfast sandwich, of course), then met Amo & family at the de Young art museum in golden gate park. it reopened last Oct after being damaged by an earthquake. lots of really cool stuff in there.

dinner for the next 3 nights would be at the John Lee’s. SO much good food…Fri night was indian food by Hanni, Sat was prime rib by Heather, and Sun was the big Xmas feast/party.

daytime was spent lounging around Alan’s house, hanging with the girls (who are so cute), going to Target, watching movies, going bowling. life in suburbia is fun!
