GTD with Gmail

improvement and tips, technology | Friday, November 18th, 2005

here’s my new system of the week: using Gmail to implement GTD (David Allen’s ‘getting things done’ process).

space-age wasteland GTD with Gmail Whitepaper

gmail is a good place to do this because
- it’s almost always open in my browser
- accessible from anywhere (mac, pc, other side of the world)
- virtually unlimited storage space
- easily searchable

i’ve been using Gmail “drafts” as a notepad, since you can go in and edit the contents and then click “save now”. but this GTD plan goes way beyond that…we’ll see how it goes.
