Lost
it’s been years since i’ve been ‘into’ a tv series, but i heard a lot of good things about Lost (howard loves it) so we started watching…and it’s really good! i downloaded all 25 episodes of the first season. great quality, and no commercials. who even needs a tv anymore?
after wheezing and wussing my way through my first kung fu class in about a month, i realized that just a few weeks of laziness and debauchery wiped out a lot of the progress i’d made. so i’ve decided to try a little detoxing experiment (sorely needed after burning man). i’m gonna cut out certain ‘bad’ things and see how long i can go:
- sugar: not a big deal, since i mostly avoid it in my normal routine. but i have been giving in to desserts lately.
- caffeine: probably not a big deal. i do need my daily iced coffees, but i can get decaf.
- alcohol: this’ll be tough…there’s 3 parties at bars this weekend (does anyone in nyc ever do anything but go to bars on weekends?). but i’m pretty resolved to not drink.
- 4 other things that i’ll keep private
i’m inspired by my baby, who’s doing the master cleanser lemonade diet. i’d do it, but i’m thinkin it’s probably not safe to fast on lemonade and train at the same time. posting this sorta makes it official, so i’ll feel like a big loser if i don’t stick to it for at least a while. let’s see how it goes…
black ipod nano
i broke down and ordered one. soon as it’s here, my rio carbon will be up on craigslist or ebay for sale. pity the other companies can’t seem to get it right. i really like the form factor of the carbon, but the software just sucks. like the fact that it takes about 20 seconds to power on. it’s a piece of consumer electronics - it shouldn’t have to ‘boot up.’
