i moved in this weekend! thanks to citimove for hooking me up with awesome movers (cityside express). they showed up right on time, handled everything smoothly, lugged my stuff up 5 flights of stairs, and finished the whole job in about 3 hours - for only $180.
thanks to my baby, i’m actually quite settled after less than 2 days…but still lots to do! we’ll take advantage of the long-weekend with lots of projects. good thing the new chelsea home depot is only 2 stops away!
howard gave a speech in union square today, then gave out free sirius satellite radios for thanksgiving. i was right there about 10 feet from him as he walked up to stage! i got a certificate for $150 off a sirius receiver but i’m not gonna use it. it’s only good til 11/24. you have to prepay a year’s subscription ($140).

halo 2 was released last night at midnight and is expected to make
over $100M in the first day - more than any hollywood movie opening ever. thousands of nerds all over the country lined up at midnight to get it. i was one of those nerds. i hate to put more money into the M$ coffers, especially since they ripped Bungie (the game developers) from the Mac/PC world and forced them to make Halo only for the xbox.
but yeah, it did feel a little weird gettin dressed to go out at midnight to Toys R Us to buy a video game.
