news is sad

jesus christ, reading the paper is depressing. there’s the fires, which are the costliest disaster to ever hit CA ($4B, twice as much as the ‘91 oakland fires). stories of firefighters who were forced to turn back (or else they’d die) before they could warn residents (some of whom ended up dying). emergency water helicopters that could have stopped some of the fires early on, but weren’t used because of beaurocratic red tape (fed/state/local officials not cooperating). and all this caused by a few arsonists who are still at large. argh. we need to find them and set THEM on fire.

then there’s this massive solar storm hitting the earth today (100 times stronger than last weeks). and wild turkeys are eating all the wine grapes! AAAH!

i’m gettin outta here. i’m goin to NYC, where there’s only planes flying into buildings, blackouts, and ferry boat accidents.
