about 1/2 way through GONY…i can see why the reviews weren’t so great. seems like Scorsese was more interested in making it historically accurate than in telling a good story. also, with all the accents and weird language of the time, it’s almost impossible to understand what the characters are saying. i’ve got the subtitles turned on with the DVD, but it musta been confusing as hell in the theaters.
had my first L.A. traffic freak-out incident today. i thought i’d go blading @ hermosa beach, which is less than 20 miles away. so i get on 110N, and after a few miles it turns into a parking lot, barely crawling along for as long as the eye can see. f it, blading isn’t that important…turn around and give up. i suppose this might become a common thing down here.

ooh, i want the new Sony Clie…if only it had an always-on connection like my Sidekick, it’d be perfect. $700, out in Sept. i’ve been pretty good at keeping my gadget-lust in check lately. it’s been at least a few months since i bought any electronics…

ok, i’m fed up with blogger. it’s been giving me ‘unknown domain’ errors randomly, and all i can do is wait a few days until it suddenly works again.
i switched over to xanga, which is a bit more user friendly and interactive.

went to see The Hulk recently. what a royal piece of crap movie. it was one of those desperation movies, when you go just to kill some time and pick whatever flick is starting next. i’d heard conflicting things about it - some who really liked it, but mostly bad reviews. the ‘creative cinematography’ with multiple camera angles was way overused and made it confusing to watch. the acting and dialog were both horrible. the only thing reasonably entertaining was watching the hulk bang the shit out of things. sorry Ang Lee, but as good as Crouching Tiger was, ya lost a lot of credibility with this one…
