back in SF

personal things | Sunday, May 25th, 2003

alright, all settled in at home again. hawaii was a blast. did about the same things in waikiki as back in Feb: the beach by the hyatt, fri nights at the W, restaurant row & the ocean club, eggs ‘n things. and this time we got around to surfing! though i’ve still got water in my ears and it’s driving me mad. i could totally live there. the wedding in kauai was just perfect – right on the beach, with the sun breaking through the clouds just in time.

anyways, no more trips for a while…gotta get ready to move out. July will be mostly in NYC and LA.

fun in SF

personal things | Tuesday, May 13th, 2003

ah, another fun weekend in SF. this weekend i learned that: drinks with diet tonic water may cause spontaneous vomitting for some people; the new club Mezzanine is very cool, but ya gotta make sure not to accidentally go on gay nights ; and Devotion (the Sunday night deep-house party at EndUp) keeps jumpin until it closes at 4am Monday morning. here’s some pics from Emily’s birthday party.

Paul Van Dyk’s Mayday 2003 set is insane. listening to it while working out is like a non-stop adrenaline rush.

goin to Hawaii again this week for Tomomi & Raul’s wedding. it’s gonna be fun!

back from Aruba & Vegas

personal things | Monday, May 5th, 2003

whew, made it back home in one piece. aruba and vegas were very cool. pics are up in the gallery. turns out, aruba is a great place for a solo vacation. it’s totally safe and you never feel like anyone is out to rip you off (unlike Rio, where it’s almost an assumption that you’re going to be robbed and there’s nothing you can do about it). it’s also easy to drive around – the island is only 20 miles long, so there’s no worries about getting lost. finally, everyone speaks english and they accept US dollars everywhere.

not many pictures from vegas, cuz i was the only one with a camera and it’s just plain gay to take pictures when you’re with a bunch of guys. it was good seeing my fraternity brothers, most of whom i haven’t seen since graduation.
